The fresh air through underground channel is heated up by gas burner in peak load. The Energy  of the exhaust air is recuperated by a heat pump.

In an urban contxt poor of publick facilities, the parish center establishes an important space for public convention an interraction. The building is open to the public, completely barrierfree and  accessible for handicapped people.

Ressource efficiency and environmental impact

The building  meets the criterias of a Passive House Standard. The annual heating requirement of the building is 15kWH/sqm only. The energetic optimisation required by this Standard leads to a compact, rectangular and consistently zoned arrangement of the space allocation plan covering approx. 400sqm.

Economic lifecycle perfomance

The building conserves resources and therefore has low operating costs. It has a simple cleanability, low-maintenance grounds (mainly consisting of a lawn), and a good recyclability of the easy to disassemble construction and easily separable construction materials used.ic.

Contextual performance and impact

For reasons of noise control as well as for passive generation of solar energy, the interior volume of the parish centre has been located away from alongside the southern side of the property "Pfaffenwiese" avenue and it’s flanking high trees. A lawn in front of the hall, a generous wooden deck in front of the foyer / group room, a roofed area with sitting accommodation on the back of the entrance wall facing the street, and a covered walkway offering weather protected entry to the foyer and form the setting for diverse parish life activities.
